Slack-a-lackin
Ok - so I'm a blogging procrastinator. Kind of like doing my laundry (except I like blogging).
But to update about my lecture exams that I was worried about, well, ya know ... I aced them both! Which many of you know already because I was so excited I shared it with anyone who would listen! 100% for my Anatomy exam, and 91% for my Biology. Which is fair because I spent way more time studying for the Anatomy one. Plus my following Biology lab test (this last Monday) was 100%. So even though they keep throwing these crazy tests at me each week or so, I am killing them! Woohoo! Granted I still have to try pretty hard to keep my "A" because I've bombed a test in both classes and I'm sitting at about 91% in each for a total grade. No messing around for me.
But that's all blah blah blah stuff. Beyond my quick "Yay Erin! You're a badass!" (which I NEVER get tired of hearing), no one wants to hear about all that jazz for too long. Especially because it sounds like bragging. Which I am. I will take advantage of it while I can. Later I might be asking for sympathy, and trying to heal my wounded pride. ;)
On to the exciting stuff!
Which is ... well, not a lot. Hmm.
It's beautiful today. And it's been crappy for a while, so this beautiful day is even more appreciated than normal. I wish I was outside instead of at work. But as you can tell, I'm at work, not working.
I've been super busy lately. I just started my second job at Lifetime Fitness, which is going well. But besides the cute guy on the staff that I get to flirt with every once and a while, it's not that exciting. I will say, I enjoy the company so far. But really, all I'm doing is manning the front desk. Which any friendly faced doe doe can do. But between it, and my regular job, and class, and lab, I'm rarely home, or doing anything fun. I only took on every other Saturday at the second job so I can still go see Megan in Rochester some weekends. But last weekend I covered for someone and this weekend is my on shift, so I have to wait for almost 2 weeks before I get to go play with them again. And Brian (my roomie) is gone to work by the time I get up, doesn't get home until after I leave for Lifetime, and is in bed when I get home, so I haven't seen him in 3 days. It's kind of lonely actually. My kitty and I are getting lots of snuggling time in. But I think even she is getting tired of me. :(
Tomorrow I'm going out to see Chris Koza (a local artist) play, no matter what! I've been running around way too much, and need some chill time. I just have to convince someone to come with me. :) (Megan, if you didn't live an hour and a half away, we could do these sorts of things. Geesh. For that matter if any of you sisters lived here I wouldn't be having this problem. I like to think the world should revolve around me, so if you could all just uproot and move to me, that would be fantastic. Thanks. No? Oh well, you'll come around.)
Speaking of which! Emily comes to town on the 21st! For a whole week! And Katie will be here with her family on the 25th for Thanksgiving! Plus Mom on the 26th. Megan of course has obligations to her other side of the family and won't be around. I like Jason, but, again, back to the world revolving around me thing ... I don't think he understands. ;) Luckily I get to see them a lot since I live by them. So really it's just a bummer for Emily and Katie, and Megan of course. But as far as I go, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THANKSGIVING! This is exactly why I moved down from Alaska. Every other weekend at Megan's house, mutliple trips to Katie's house, and family on the Holidays. Emily are you done with Idaho yet? You're messing up the system here.
